You do not need tens of thousands of miles to take the family away. Selected Scoot awards between Singapore and Penang cost just 1,350 miles per person each way during the sale.

For four passengers, that is 5,400 miles each way or 10,800 miles return. A member with 11,000 miles could cover the base fares for all four travellers and still have 200 miles remaining.

The live search shows 1,350 miles per passenger in each direction. The S$334.92 cash amount illustrates an important beginner lesson: miles cover the base fare, while taxes, surcharges and fees are paid separately. Baggage, meals and seat selection may cost extra.

WHY PENANG WORKS

A simple first family redemption

Penang is a short flight from Singapore, requires relatively few miles and offers an easy mix of George Town heritage, famous food, beaches and family attractions. A compact trip is also easier to lock in because promotional awards cannot be cancelled.

CHECK BOTH DIRECTIONS

Do not automatically double a one-way rate

Some destinations—including Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Manila—are listed only from Singapore. A discounted outbound does not guarantee the same promotional rate on the return. Verify both directions in Scoot’s official table before calculating the trip total.

A general blackout applies from 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027 and 1–14 February 2027, with additional route-specific restrictions. Some routes are also limited to particular flight numbers. Jeddah is excluded.
