Scoot Spontaneous Escapes: Value awards Scoot flights for September 2026

Scoot’s 15% discount is smaller than Singapore Airlines’ offer—but some redemptions need remarkably few KrisFlyer miles. Here is where we would start.

Davao has no listed blackout dates.

At 5,100 miles one-way, it is our cleanest Scoot family pick. Four return redemptions total 40,800 miles, before taxes, fees and paid add-ons.

Best ultra-low-mileage escape

Malaysia from 1,275 miles

Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Penang, Kuantan, Ipoh and Melaka are almost impulse-redemption territory. The catch is important: every one overlaps the 5–13 September school-holiday period with outbound blackouts.

Davao

Davao is the cleanest family option this month. Scoot lists no September blackout dates in either direction, avoiding the restrictions that affect many closer destinations.

Makassar, Balikpapan, Palembang & Pontianak

All four Singapore departures have no listed blackout dates. That flexibility makes them more interesting than Yogyakarta or Tanjung Pandan this month.

Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo & Seoul

The absolute mileage is attractive, but blackout dates decide the value. Sydney is clean until 17 September; Tokyo and Melbourne are more constrained later in the month.

Much of China

Many China routes lose most of September to outbound blackout periods. Guangzhou and Xi’an are unavailable through 23 September; several others through 19 or 20 September.

Scoot awards are not Singapore Airlines awards.

The mileage covers the eligible Scoot flight. Add-ons, taxes, surcharges and fees are additional, and flight-specific blackouts apply.

the scoot spontaneous escapes is not as generous as the Singapore airlines.
