Phuket has no airport rail link and its beach resorts spread far down the island. Your hotel area therefore matters more here than almost anywhere else.
The low-cost choice for Phuket Town or the west-coast beaches, including Surin, Kamala, Patong, Karon and Kata.
Door-to-door transport booked on arrival, with official transport services available from the airport.
Your driver knows the resort address and waits at the agreed airport meeting point, even for a late arrival.
Headline prices rarely tell the whole story. Factor in the final connection, luggage, waiting time and whether your flight arrives after the last train or bus.
Exit Arrivals and follow signs to the public-transport area. Choose the orange Airport Bus for Phuket Town or Smart Bus for the west-coast beaches. Pay using the accepted method for that service and tell the staff your destination so they can identify the most useful stop.
The Airport Bus serves Phuket Town, while Smart Bus follows the west-coast beach corridor. Confirm the nearest stop and the remaining walk or taxi journey.
After collecting luggage, request Grab and follow its designated pickup instructions, or use an authorised taxi counter in the public arrivals area. Give the exact resort name, because similar hotel names and properties from the same chain can be far apart.
Always use an official app, airport counter or authorised rank. Ignore unsolicited approaches. Confirm whether the quoted amount includes airport and booking fees.
Book the correct hotel and flight before departure, receive the operator voucher, then meet the representative in the Level 1 public arrivals lobby or at the specified exit. The vehicle travels directly to the resort without collecting other passengers.
Select by destination zone and luggage capacity, not passenger count alone. A hotel in Mai Khao is much closer than one in Patong, Kata or Rawai.
A pre-booked driver is most useful when convenience has real value: several suitcases, young children, limited mobility, an overnight arrival, a distant hotel or a group that can share the vehicle cost.
Mai Khao is close to the airport; Patong, Karon, Kata and Rawai are progressively farther away. Quote and journey time should match the actual hotel.
Phuket Smart Bus links the airport with major west-coast beaches. It suits travellers with time and manageable luggage.
A sedan may fit the passengers but not their suitcases. For three or four adults with checked bags, compare an MPV or van.
