KrisShop: earn up to 20 miles per dollar

Sale ends Monday—but is it actually a good deal?

· GenieMiles Editorial · 4 min read

Buy four items in one KrisShop transaction and you can earn four times the usual KrisFlyer miles. Add the right credit card and the headline return reaches 20 miles for every dollar—but only KrisShop’s highest-tier shoppers can earn that much.

How the promotion works

The offer runs until 11.59pm Singapore time on Monday, 7 September 2026. The number of separate items in one transaction determines the multiplier:

There is no stated minimum spend and the promotion covers local and international home-delivery orders, including post-flight transactions. KrisShop e-gift cards are excluded and do not count towards the three- or four-item requirement. Complimentary gift-with-purchase items do not count either.

No promotion stacking: this offer cannot be combined with other existing KrisShop promotions, offers or privileges—including Singapore Airlines PPS Club discounts—unless otherwise stated. Compare the miles promotion with any discount you would have received rather than assuming you can use both.

The promotion is capped at 10,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles per member. Promotional miles may take up to 12 weeks after the campaign ends to be credited.

For expiry purposes, the promotional miles will be backdated to August 2026 and expire on 31 August 2029. The later crediting date does not give them a later three-year expiry date.

Will you really earn 20 miles per dollar?

Probably not. KrisShop gives different base earning rates according to your KrisShopper tier. With four eligible items, you receive your normal base rate plus bonus miles equal to three times that base rate—four times the base rate in total. A suitable rewards card can then add up to another four miles per dollar.

A beginner registered as an ordinary KrisShopper Member could earn up to 12 miles per dollar—not 20—when buying four items and paying with an eligible card that earns four miles per dollar.

If miles are new to you, start with our beginner’s guide to earning KrisFlyer miles in Singapore. One mile per dollar means a S$100 eligible purchase earns 100 miles; 12 miles per dollar means it earns 1,200 miles.

The headline is also slightly generous because KrisShop calculates its miles on the price before GST and delivery charges, while your card earns on the final charged amount. Your effective return on the entire bill will therefore be lower.

Buying through Kris+? The same promotional KrisShop rates apply, but your credit-card return may differ from a purchase on KrisShop.com. For example, Citi Rewards can earn four miles per dollar on an eligible KrisShop.com transaction but only its regular 0.4 miles per dollar when paying through Kris+ directly. Check your card’s current terms and payment method before choosing the platform.

The simple value test

Suppose four products cost S$500 before GST. An ordinary KrisShopper Member would earn 4,000 KrisFlyer miles from KrisShop during this promotion. A card earning four miles per dollar would add miles on the final amount charged.

If you value a KrisFlyer mile at 1.5 cents, the 4,000 miles from KrisShop are worth about S$60 to you. That does not make a S$500 purchase cheap. If the same basket costs more than S$60 less elsewhere, the extra KrisShop miles would not close the gap—even before considering the card miles you might also earn at the other retailer.

GenieMiles rule: compare the final cash price first. Treat the miles as a rebate only after KrisShop wins, or comes close, on price and convenience.

Price-controlled products may be the easiest place to find genuine value because retailers are less likely to undercut one another substantially. For everything else, check the manufacturer and at least one major retailer before paying.

Should you add a cheap fourth item?

Sometimes. Moving from three items to four raises the KrisShop multiplier from two times to four times. A genuinely useful, low-cost fourth product may unlock more bonus miles than it costs.

But calculate using your own tier, the basket price before GST and the 10,000-bonus-mile cap. Buying something you do not want merely turns part of your mileage rebate into waste.

Before you check out

  1. Confirm that all four items are eligible; e-gift cards and complimentary gift-with-purchase items do not count.
  2. Check your KrisShopper tier and use the table above—not the 20-mile headline.
  3. Compare the total price with other retailers, including delivery.
  4. Do not assume the offer stacks with a PPS Club discount or another KrisShop promotion.
  5. Check that your chosen card earns bonus miles on your chosen platform and that you have not exhausted its monthly cap.
  6. Keep your receipt and check that the promotional miles arrive within 12 weeks after the promotion ends.
  7. Plan around their 31 August 2029 expiry date, which reflects the backdated August 2026 accrual date.

GenieMiles verdict: FAIR 🟡

This is a useful bonus for a purchase you were already going to make. Four times the usual KrisShop miles, no minimum spend and few product exclusions make the mechanics attractive.

But 20 miles per dollar is a best-case number reserved for Ambassador-tier shoppers using the right credit card. Most beginners will earn less, and no mileage multiplier can rescue an overpriced basket. Compare first; buy second.

KrisShop promotion questions

How do I earn up to 20 miles per dollar at KrisShop?

Buy four or more eligible items in one transaction by 7 September 2026. The maximum combines 16 KrisFlyer miles per dollar for Ambassador-tier KrisShoppers with up to four miles per dollar from an eligible credit card.

Is the KrisShop promotion worth it?

It can be worthwhile for competitively priced products you already intended to buy. Compare the final price elsewhere first: most members earn less than 20 miles per dollar, and extra miles may not offset a higher price.
